Together with the National Council of University Students (CNSU), we approved a motion on the extension of the culture bonus.
In detail, the National Council of University Students asks, regarding the extension of the culture bonus, that:
that, for as long as the pandemic emergency lasts, it should be possible for beneficiaries of the Culture Bonus to use this bonus to purchase technological devices for distance learning, such as:
- Computers;
- Tablets;
- Smartphones;
- Accessories (e.g. headphones, chargers, webcams);
- Software and hardware components.
that the time frame in which the Bonus can be spent be extended from 12 months to 24 months, to facilitate its use given the impossibility of taking advantage of multiple activities due to the epidemiological emergency.
The culture bonus is a much-used tool and has been renewed from time to time over the years by governments of different orientations. We believe that it could become an even more useful measure for all students who now find themselves having to approach the purchase of a device. In fact, in this period of instability, it could prove to be a really useful option for many Italian families.
We hope that the government will take our request into due consideration and implement it together with the stakeholders as soon as possible.
