The National Council of University Students approved a parliamentary inquiry asking about the timing and modalities of the measures approved during the year 2020 regarding rent support for out-of-town students.

Specifically, the National Council of University Students has called for rent support for out-of-town students:

  • the Ministry of Universities and Research clarify the criteria and the timing of the publication of the ministerial decree in question;
  • Government intervention with further economic contributions to increase the scope of the fund for the year 2021 in order to increase the capacity of the measure to stem the housing crisis;
  • the Ministry of Universities and Research intervenes effectively and promptly to ensure that this measure meets the needs of out-of-town students in financial difficulty.

Once approved by Parliament, it became law. Each university then managed the fund independently according to the guidelines of the Ministry of University and Research. Various web pages, such as this one, summarise well the measure and how to access it.

We invite all those who might be beneficiaries to inform themselves adequately and, if necessary, to apply for the contribution by the deadline.
We remain at your disposal for any doubts or questions you may have.
