The two-day inauguration of the 2013 National Council of University Students (CNSU) has come to an end. For Confederazione degli Studenti – Unilab Svoltastudenti were present: Angelo Antinoro, Vincenzo Giannico and Francesco Testa.
President Andrea Fiorini appointed Lorenzo Roesel, CLDS Vice-President and Angelo Antinoro Secretary of the Bureau.
The Confederazione degli Studenti – Unilab Svoltastudenti group issued a statement on the first appointment. Group leader Vincenzo Giannico: “The choice of President Fiorini and his UdU group was made without consulting the rest of the forces making up the majority. Obviously, it is in stark contrast to what was hoped for at the beginning of the mandate and betrays the principles with which this majority was formed and with which this president was appointed, principles that break with the last CNSU mandate.
On the other hand, we hope that this political choice will not have a negative impact on the programmatic objectives and the will to work that this body and this majority have set themselves from the outset”.
Work continues on setting up the 2013 CNSU.
Subsequently, the Commissions on the Right to Study, on the Condition of Students, on Didactics; and again on Relations with the World of Work, on Orientation and on Internationalisation were formed.
Vincenzo Giannico was entrusted with the chairmanship of the latter.
The work was concluded on the second day with the approval of motions discussed in the committees. The meeting was then dissolved and the next meeting will be held on 28 November.
